• Location
• Farmer capacity
• Social capital
• Motivation

The assessment is undertaken where each criteria, having its own weightage, is scored to provide a total assessment score for categorising under 3 classifications. Depending on the total score, the site with the highest points would indicate its suitability and potential for biochar production.
